Position: Corporate Senior Accountant
Position Summary:
The Corporate Senior Accountant reports to the Corporate Controller and is an integral member of the corporate accounting team, responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting to its owners and stakeholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, month end close, fixed asset accounting, reconciliations and reporting, and other special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Month End Financials
Participate in month-end close activities including the preparation of numerous corporate overhead journal entries and market allocations.
Update monthly balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards to ensure that general ledger accounts are managed with resolution to reconciling items.
Distribute monthly purchase card statements to corporate management team, review expense reports and timely post all activity
Review and analyze general ledger for accuracy and proper classification by market, station and department, and follow through on corrections and reclassifications.
Reconcile intercompany accounts and coordinate with markets to post intercompany adjustment journal entries.
Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data as requested.
Review of corporate office financial statements for completeness
Support Market month end processes in order to meet consolidated deadlines.
Prepare Operating Lease Schedule and maintain lease files.
Assist in preparation and tie out of consolidated financial statements for management review, providing comparative analysis to prior periods and budgets.
Fixed Assets
Create project codes and coordinate all information for capital projects.
Ensure proper approvals as per Corporate policy.
Maintain Capital projects schedule and review periodically with Chief Engineer
Capitalize projects upon completion and maintain fixed asset module in ERP.
Coordinate Fixed Asset listing reviews with Markets and ensure accuracy.
Generate and record monthly depreciation.
Reconcile Fixed Asset Module to General Ledger
Prepare and File Business Property Tax returns.
Update Statement of Values for annual Insurance Renewal
Maintain and update Physical Locations for all entities.
Compile and review Capital Expenditure Budgets
Provide fixed asset reporting for special projects including insurance claims, station acquisitions or sales, and project reviews.
Miscellaneous
Support Accounts Payable department when needed
Assist in preparation of annual budgets
GAAP Research
Operational Support to Markets
Maintain Contracts Management application
Assist in Corporate Projects and other reporting requirements
Provide support in all audit work
Ad Hoc reporting as assigned
Skills:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and at least 4 years of experience.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Media Industry experience preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and accounting skills.
Strong Computer Skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ERP Softwares or similar programs.
Accuracy and attention to detail in daily work.
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and 3rd Party Business Partners.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Office environment, some repetitive motion required. May require some travel and valid driver’s license is required with good driving record.

Compensation:
$80,000 to $90,000, DOE
